The Airking is a watch that dares to be different.....
The only Rolex watch to feature a coloured logo with the yellow crown and the green Rolex branding.
This is a veer off from the normal and Rolex being known as the King of consistency this is certainly a watch to keep an eye on for the future.
The dial sports two different size indicies, the applied White Gold 3, 6 ,9 for the hours and the printed minutes scale in increments of 5 make their way around the dial giving a sense of speed. This is not coincidental, the theme for this dial came from the Rolex designed instruments featured in the SCC land speed record car named "The Bloodhound" which is where the nickname comes from for this particular model.
A watch historically simple in its design originally meant to honour the RAF pilots of the Battle of Britain is now standing out from the crowd, with its links to aviation and now landspeed this is watch that has adrenaline and risk in it's DNA.
The Air King already has a great history with Rolex and this particular model has just written a new chapter. This reference overlooked by many will not only go down in history it is definitely one to watch for the future.
